Doesn’t it figure

26 Feb

That you get ready to sit down and blog then one thing leads to another and it’s been WEEKS since the last time there was a post. Ugh it just figures huh? I could give you the normal excuse that happens, you know life, kids, the hubby this and that but well it was a mix of everything so it’s no wonder that people don’t read this when I can’t even post on a daily, or shoot weekly basis ha. But there has been a lot going on in the sense of school. I’m soooo close to being done but yet it doesn’t feel like it can come sooner. In my med transcription class we are starting the transcription part of the courses and ugh they are kicking my behind. It’s really making me question if I did the right thing or not by starting this course…I know I am because I REALLY want to do this but ugh some days I don’t feel like I can do this. Of course half the dang transcriptions I can’t understand or hear and blah. I know that it’s something you need to keep learning how to do and I have about 2 more classes in the transcription part to take I believe so I know there is still more learning that needs to be done….just it’s a struggle lately and makes me feel like a loser. It costs so much even for just a 2 year college degree that I don’t want to feel like I’ve waisted my time/money doing this but I know it’ll work out and I took the course for a reason so we’ll see right? Okay I’ve babbled enough and I doubt anyone reads this so it doesn’t really matter if I keep babbling right? okay I’m done.

Smooth Away!!

3 Feb

Now I don’t know about you but I was so excited to see this on tv.Though I was so nervous to actually buy it because I can’t use most hair removal products since they break my skin out. I just know I was tired of the shaving and nicking myself every time it seems. So when I was asked to review a hair removal product I was so for it, little did I know what I was getting in the mail. So imagine my surprise when it turns out to be smooth away! Smooth Away comes from Idea Village Products Corp. You may recognize the name as they’ve been bringing innovative products into our homes since 1999. They’ve brought us some of the other things we just can’t live our lives without; the Aqua globe (which my mother still insists she needs and my grandma loves), the Luma Touch Pro (for those unsightly facial hairs we get from time to time), the Clever Clasp that makes putting on jewelry quick and eay, and lets not forget those HD Vision wrap around sunglasses that I will be getting for my father this Christmas. So when this product arrived in my mail box I was so excited to try it that I wasted no time in doing so.

As I said, I was nervous about trying this product because I’ve had bad reactions to other hair removal products and was worried I’d break out from this as well. I was also worried that it would be overly complicated to use. Both my worries were set aside once I started using the product. I like that you buy it at stores such as WalMart (or other retail stores) or online at www.getsmoothaway.com, and that you get 4 pads for EACH of the paddles (you get 1 large and 1 small paddle) as well as convent carrying case to hold it all. I expected maybe 2 pads total but not 4. When I tried it, I was really happy that it was as simple as the commercial makes it out to be. You start out with clean skin and after applying the pad to the paddle, you rub first in a clockwise circle, then rub in a counter clock wise circle. I really like that not only do you get the hair off but you exfoliate your skin as well. For a first time use it got off more of the hair than I thought it would. Sure there were some areas it didn’t get; (like at the start of the foot in the back) but those areas I can forgive as they are hard to get anyhow. Also, really the only down fall I seen was the pad was hard to get lined up right, but then again, it could have just been a user error ha!

Then they have a product called Smooth Away Hair Inhibitor Moisturizer. This was also something else I was worried would break my skin out or have some crazy smell. But nope it smelled good and didn’t smell like harsh chemicals. It actually smelled almost like coconuts. Also, I had NO trouble with this product and my apparently sensitive skinned legs. I was happy to know that it really did leave my legs feeling nice and soft, even 3 days after using the product. Not only does the Hair Inhibitor Moisturizer leave your skin soft, it helps even skin tones. Also, the moisturizer helps to make your hair finer, weaker and lighter when it grows back in, as well as reducing the amount of regrown hair. This is available at Walmart (and other retail stores as well as www.getsmoothaway.com). Me and the hubster were doing adult business the other day and he had to comment on how awesome my legs felt.

So if you are sitting there with the winter blues and trying to figure out the best way to get your legs and under arms ready for the summer weather, well I vote for smooth away! It’s one of the few as seen on TV products that ACTUALLY work and it’s definitely a product I will be recommending to other people.
